e-Delivery refers a number of business processes related to the delivery of goods or services in a supply chain. To understand the concept of a business process, see Supply-chain business processes. A number of data standards are used to encode business documents being exchanged during these business processes (see Supply-chain data standards).
These business processes are very complex as there are many possible cases and intermediaries involved. UBL defines these cases in a lot of detail. The UBL document types that support delivery processes are Despatch Advice, Receipt Advice, Order Cancellation, Order Change, and Fulfilment Cancellation.
